Bergen Community College

I am originally from Gujarat-Ahmedabad, a large city in India. After two years of college in Ahmedabad, I moved to the United States in 2006. I am currently attending Rutgers University but also take classes at Bergen Community College.

When I came to the United States, I wasn’t sure where I wanted to attend school. But I was fortunate enough to meet someone who suggested that I look into Bergen Community College. On my first visit to Bergen, I was very impressed with how cooperative and helpful the staff was and I enjoyed being in a diverse educational environment.

Bergen Community College had everything that I was looking for in an institution. The tuition costs are reasonable and there is convenient transportation to and from Bergen. I also felt that I was in a safe environment and I was happy that my credits transferred from an international college. I’m thankful for the acquaintance who suggested that I visit Bergen. If it wasn’t for this person, I wouldn’t have been fortunate enough to attend this great institution.

Dreams have no ends...And if you want to achieve amazing goals, dream for endless dreams...Bergen Community College is definitely a good place to start.

Each semester at Bergen Community College has been memorable but my favorite experience was when I took Calculus I with Professor Randolph Forsstrom. He was a very encouraging professor and even suggested that I become a mathematician. I was honored by this compliment. I also enjoyed my History of U.S. course because Professor Chu told me that I had an immense knowledge of U.S. history. I respect all of the professors that I’ve had at Bergen because they have been extremely helpful and understanding.

I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
