Degree Seeking:
A.S.

Biography:
I am currently enrolled in the NJ STARS program at Bergen. I will graduate in May 2008 with an Associate’s Degree in Biology and will transfer to Montclair State University as a NJ STARS II student. I have learned a lot from my professors and have had rewarding experiences at Bergen, including the opportunity to study abroad in Rome, Italy.

Why did you choose Bergen Community College?:
I was initially interested in Bergen because my sister attended the College and said that it was a great school. I also chose Bergen because of the NJ STARS program. It provides students with an incredible opportunity to pursue their education in New Jersey. Additionally, Bergen is in a convenient location, which allows me to work in between my classes.

What advice would you give a prospective student?:
Don't get so wrapped up with obtaining your degree that you lose sight of the beauty that each day holds. Enjoy your time at Bergen because it will be over before you know it.

What has been your favorite academic experience so far?:
My favorite academic experience was when I presented an essay that I wrote in a Writing 101 class at a conference at Montclair State University.

Do you participate in other clubs or organizations while enrolled at Bergen? If yes, please list them here.:
I am a member of Phi-Theta-Kappa.
