Early Childhood Education
Why did you pick Bergen Community College?:
I chose Bergen Community College because of the many diverse programs that the institution has to offer. I was unsure about what are of study I was interested in but my professors helped me figure out that I wanted to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education.
What did you like best about your college experience?:
My college experience was as good as it was due to the influence of my professors who encouraged me to strive for higher goals. They also taught me that learning can be an enjoyable experience.
What was your favorite academic experience while at Bergen?:
I learned a lot of valuable information from my Child Psychology and Field Work classes because I had the opportunity to work with the children in the Child Development Center. The Center’s teachers were extremely helpful because they shared their stories and experiences. They provided me with valuable hands-on training.
What advice would you give a current/prospective student?:
I would tell current students to make sure that they like what they are studying and to try to have fun while they are doing it. I never thought I would be able to obtain a 4.0 GPA when I started at Bergen. Through motivation and encouragement, I achieved this goal on several different occasions.
