Degree Seeking:
A.A.

Biography:
I attended Bergenfield High School and participated in a variety of extracurricular activities. I was a member of the Student Congress, the Italian National Honor Society and the National Honor Society. I also played clarinet in the marching band and was on the tennis team.

Why did you choose Bergen Community College?:
My guidance counselor in high school told me about the NJ STARS program. I was amazed that a program like this existed and decided to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. After I complete my second year at Bergen Community College, I also plan to participate in the NJ STARS II program and transfer to a four-year school in New Jersey.

What advice would you give a prospective student?:
It’s important that students earn good grades throughout high school. If they can get into the top 20 percent of their graduating class, they can take advantage of the NJ STARS program.

What has been your favorite academic experience so far?:
My Introduction to Psychology course was very interesting. Dr. Birnback was extremely supportive and gave me advice concerning a possible career in Art Therapy.

Do you participate in other clubs or organizations while enrolled at Bergen? If yes, please list them here.:
Phi Theta Kappa
