Biography:
Everyone knows me as “Bogo.” I started at Bergen in 2004 and it is now my last semester. I am an average student, but I try hard to excel in my school work and stay on the honor role. I would like to become a CPA one day, and attending Bergen has given me the drive to do so. I will be attending Montclair State University next semester, and will miss Bergen. I have made so many friends here. I have met people from everywhere including Croatia where I am from. I also met so many great Professors; it has been awesome.
Why did you choose Bergen Community College?:
Bergen was my choice because I really did not know what I wanted to study, and I knew Bergen would lay a great foundation for me. Many teachers in high school told me I was not made for college, but Bergen showed me that I am.
What advice would you give a prospective student?:
Do not pass Bergen up; it is not the 13th grade. Bergen is something far more than college; you become part of it and will not want to leave. College is Bergen and Bergen is college—it is nothing short of great. If you are thinking about going to college, go to Bergen first. It will show you the way.
What has been your favorite academic experience so far?:
I must say, I regret not getting more involved with the school, but I attended Leadership Weekend, which was a great experience. It taught me so much about myself and what a leader is. It also showed me how many great people make up Bergen, and how many true leaders are found inside its doors. Simply amazing!
