Degree Seeking:
A.S.

Biography:
As a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker, I felt it would be a good decision for me to pursue a college education. I am currently majoring in business administration with a concentration in marketing. I feel that the marketing classes that I have taken at Bergen have helped me to become a better realtor who is more adept at servicing my clients’ needs. In addition to working and going to school full-time, I am also a mother of two wonderful children.

Why did you choose Bergen Community College?:
I chose Bergen because it was a school that provided a great opportunity to pursue a higher educational degree while allowing me to become adjusted to college life at my own pace.

What advice would you give a prospective student?:
My advice to prospective students is to stay focused on your goals and to remain motivated in your ambitions. Find what it is that you have passion for and pursue it until you have accomplished your objective.

What has been your favorite academic experience so far?:
My favorite academic experience at Bergen has involved my time in my Sociology: Marriage & Family class. This course provided enlightenment as to how one can achieve improved relations in their family life. Beyond that class though, the whole Bergen experience has been something I am glad to have been a part of. Pursuing a college degree has enabled me to see the power of higher education, firsthand. I truly believe that education helps to mold a better-rounded individual and that a college education is necessary for success in our society.
