Why did you pick Bergen Community College?:
I enrolled at Bergen during the Fall 2002 semester after completing high school in my home country of Jamaica. After receiving many recommendations from both friends and family, I chose Bergen as the starting point of my college experience.

What did you like best about your college experience?:
I brag every day about how much I loved being a student at Bergen. Each professor that I had was great and took the time to explain various concepts that are not easily understood by all students. With regards to my classes, I can honestly say that the Religion courses were the most enjoyable. I feel that taking each one of these courses has opened my eyes to the practices and faiths not commonly understood by the general public. I also loved being involved with the various clubs and organizations at the College. My most notable extracurricular experience involved serving as a Student Ambassador. It was here that I learned that I enjoy helping others and interacting with a wide array of people.

What advice would you give a current/prospective student?:
Bergen is the perfect place to learn all of the fundamentals a college student needs to excel. Pay special attention to the way you manage your time because this is one of the most important factors of determining how successful you will be in college. Lastly, take advantage of all of the opportunities offered at Bergen. You will not find as many available at a four-year school.

Other colleges attended :
Montclair State University, currently matriculated in the B.A. program majoring in both Child Advocacy and Justice Systems.
