Career:
Senior Development Officer, Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey

Biography:
I went to BCC out of high school, dropped out and went back when I was 25 years old. After Bergen, I transferred to Rutgers. Through the student activities I became involved with the BCC Foundation, where I interned and helped with the BCC Golf Classic. BCC is where I found my passion for working in the non-profit sector. Now I am the Senior Development Officer at Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey.

Why did you pick Bergen Community College?:
The reason I chose BCC was because it was affordable.

What did you like best about your college experience?:
Getting involved with student activities. It made me feel like I was part of the "college experience."

What was your favorite academic experience while at Bergen?:
The two classes I took with Dr. Joanne Glasgow. It prepared me for my continuing education at Rutgers!I was the Vice President of the Philosophy Club. It was great to discuss ideas without worrying about a grade. It was also a great way to meet other students and interact with the professors outside of the classroom.

What advice would you give a current/prospective student?:
Show up to class and sit in the front row! It's best if the professor knows who you are!

Other colleges attended :
Rutgers University - Douglass College

Highest Degree Earned :
B.A.
